About Me

Welcome to my MFT resource website. My name is Lizette Bonilla and I am an aspiring California Marriage and Family Therapist.  I graduated from San Diego State in University in 2019 with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Currently I am a graduate student at Syracuse University in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. My goal as a therapist is to provide culturally attuned and accessible therapy options to people who are altogether queer people of color.  With a business background, I found myself puzzled with California licensing and general information about the profession. I hope that my website, filled with various helpful information and links, is helpful for other aspiring California MFT’s.  Let's connect!  Libonill@syr.edu --- Lizette Bonilla

Individuals can search through their local: Therapists Treatment Centers Psychiatrists  Support Groups  Tele-therapy options  For example, someone in Syracuse would be able to enter their city, zip code, or a search to find a specific therapist or treatment center to access therapy options.  Prospective clients can sort through types of issues they’re looking to address, insurance, gender, types of therapy, ages served, ethnicities served, languages offered, or price. Practice Building Resources Building one's practice can be an intimidating process for therapists- new and experienced. However, there is an a...
